Weak domestic consumption has added to
Denmark’s pain as it writes down growth forecast

Danish economy performs worse than expected. Growth is forecast now to land at 1.3 percent this year, against the earlier projected 1.9 percent.


It is mainly weaker private consumption and the global financial turmoil that has burst the situation. Next year, the Danish gross domestic product is expected to grow by 1.8 percent, according to the Danish Finance Minister.
