Norwegian mass murderer, Breivik receives love letters

Thursday, 08 December 2011
Lawyers representing the victims of Norwegian mass murderer, Anders Breivik Behring, are very critical of the medical report which stated that Breivik irresponsible for the crime was due to his mental illness. At the same time the mass murderer is getting letters from lots of admirers.

“We are considering asking experts to get a second opinion,” said attorney John Arild Aasen in the newspaper Klassekampen.

A commission will review the psychiatrists' report - Swedish psychiatry professor, Johan Cullberg, has ruled out the Breivik’s report as unprofessional, which attracted much attention in Norway.

Breivik has devoted the hours to read numerous letters sent to him shortly after 22 July. It's all about wooing letters from women, hate letters and offers of instant salvation.
The letters have reached Breivik only now because in the first months of his detention, he was held in total isolation.

The police have decided which letters Breivik will see. If they are deemed to harm the investigation further Breivik would not be allowed to read them. But in total, he has already read between 200 and 300 letters. They are both from Norway and from abroad.

Police would not say any more about the content of the letters but adds that a lot of them are bills. On Monday Breivik for the first time since his arrest ill be allowed to read newspapers, watch TV and listen to the radio.
