Swedish people increasingly healthier

Swedish people are getting healthier, which is great news for the welfare system as the government would expend to see spending on healthcare reduced.

The sickness rate in Sweden continues to recede falling to 29.1 percent in February from 29.3 percent in January. The sickness rate has dropped by nearly 10 percent in one year, according to latest data from the country’s national insurance office F�rs�kringskassan presented on Monday.
In getting to the sickness rate, F�rs�kringskassan carried out measurement of absent days that are compensate for during a twelve month period. Sickness / activity accounts for most of the sickness rate, while the sick leave account for the minor, because it is expected that teh worker will return to work shortly.
In the various sexes, the sickness rate for women was 34.4, which is a decrease of 10percent in the last 12 months. For men, the sickness rate 23.9, a decline of 9percent for the same period.
