Sweden hit by massive computer crashes

SBAB and Welfare, Pharmacy, Motor Vehicle Inspection, City of Stockholm and about fifty other organizations have their computer crashed. IT service provider TietoEnator can not say when the problems would be remedied.

This is just one of those things that happen to a country that has now heavily relied on the application of computers in production. One cannot tell all the victims as at now, but more and more vital public services are found to be affected.

According to report, it is said to do with a hardware failure that is very difficult at present to predict how long it will take to restore everything to normal.
Computer breakdown started over the weekend when hardware fault in one of Tieto's Swedish data center was reported on Friday. Today it can be said that about fifty customers have been affected, including the Apotek, Motor Vehicle Inspection, and City of Stockholm.
