Protesters call for the closure of the Libyan embassy and hoist Rebel flag

We reported last night that there was a break in into the Libyan embassy in Stockholm and that one person was arrested.

Over night development has now turned that six people were arrested after protesters on Thursday night entered the Libyan Embassy in Stockholm. The police said this morning that the situation is now under control.

Below the three-story brick building in Valhallav�gen  in Stockholm, there were about  twenty people last evening in a spontaneous demonstration, shouting slogans and expressed their demands – one of which Gadaffi must go.

According to the Vice President of the Libyan Association, Helmi Alnadon, the protesters also wanted that Sweden should closes the Libyan Embassy and rejects the new ambassador appointed by the Gadaffi regime.

It also requires that the Libyan rebel flag should be placed hanging on the embassy's facade and that the persons arrested by the police to be released.

According to the police, a flag was burned inside the embassy and some damage was caused inside. Embassy's door has been painted in the Libyan rebel flag colours.
Police negotiated with some two men whom during the night remained in the embassy windows and also threatened to jump out from the second floor.

Shortly after 01 o'clock last night, the men voluntarily left the embassy and were arrested by police during calm conditions.
