A major power outage hit Arlanda airport on Friday morning. One of the so-called piers of the airport’s terminal five was completely cut off from electricity supply.
"It leads to some problems because a large part of our communication is handled electronically. We were also forced to move certain aircrafts so that there minor delays, "said Anders Bredfell, press officer at the airport.
A group of technicians are trying to find the cause of the blackout, but it is unclear when it can be solved. As a now there is no clear indications that flights to and from Stockholm have been compromised seriously.
