Lithuania's economy is doing better than expected. SEB's economists raise the issue on Thursday in its forecast for GDP growth to 6.5 percent this year and 5.0 percent next year.
Previously, the forecast growth was placed at 4.0 percent this year and 4.5 percent in 2012.
Unexpectedly the business perception among businesses and households raise as domestic demand grew and is expected to grow, writes SEB in a report.
On the sideline, SEB's economists also note that the level of private consumption and investment is very low in Lithuania at this moment.
