Finland leading the scale of retirees in the Nordic

1.464 million People, that is around one in four Finns had to retire at year end. According to statistics from the Finnish Central Pension Security Institute, some 1,358,000 persons received after work pension while 697 000 persons received state pension. The average pension was 1,370 euros per month.


However, the amount of people to receive disability pension has fallen by almost 6,000 to 211,000. The number of disability pensioners has now declined for several years. Total of €22.5 billion was paid out in statutory retirement in 2010. The average pension was €1,370 per month, not counting the people who contributed as part-time. That are 26 million more than last year.
