Cannabis cultivation in Finnish homes, a common cultural evolution

Cannabis cultivation at home has become a common practice many homes in Finland.
According to the National Institute for Health and Welfare in Finland, between 40 000 and 60 000 Finns experimented the cultivation of cannabis in their homes in the past months.


One in five people under 35years old say they know someone who has been cultivating cannabis.
The data, published in the newspaper Yhteiskuntapolitiikka, is based on a complete online assessment.
It is not looking as though marijuana consumption in Finland is a growing phenomenon than previously accounted given that it is not cultivated at home in an environment that authorities cannot access freely.

Cannabis cultivation is punishable by law, but during investigation, many prefer to associate it with drug dealers. But today more people produce their own drugs that previously determined.
