British Prince William to marry Fiance Kate Middleton
Tuesday, 16 November 2010
Prince William is getting married next year with his fiancé and long term girlfriend Kate Middleton, announced the British royal family on Tuesday.
The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton," Clarence House said in a statement.
Speculation had been held about the marriage but today it was made public after the couple engaged in Kenya in October.  The wedding will likely be in the spring or summer of 2011 given that the UK activities are so tight.

William and Kate, now both aged 28, became a couple when they studied at Saint Andrews University in Fife, eight years ago.
This will be a very big occasion already accounted to be watched by billions of people all over the world and a great opportunity to boost the fortunes of the British royal family.

The statement said that "Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family. "Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton's father. "Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force."
The British  Prime Minister has sent his congratulations to the couple, wishing them all the best. The announcement follows many months of speculation about when they would tie the knot.
