The Swedish construction industry will slow down next year

Wednesday, 14 December 2011
Construction investments in Sweden are expected to be at a constant level in 2012, after an increase of nine percent this year.

This is based on the tracking of the sector by the trade association, Swedish Construction Federation (BI) in a new economic assessment.

Housing investment is expected to fall by four percent next year, while investment in facilities is expected to increase as much. Capital expenditures are expected to rise by one percent.
According to BI the debt crisis in the euro –zone countries is the main driver for the reduced construction investment.
