Sales of personal computers fell by as much as 30 percent in Sweden in the second quarter according to latest market observation.

Newspaper, Computer Sweden writes with reference Gartner that the Swedish PC market has historically grown in line with or better than GDP. This year however marks the first time that the correlation does not apply, according to Jonas Elmgren, managing director of distributor for Tech Data, to the paper.

As the market collapses, prices continue to come under pressure and this has echoed earlier when giants such as HP are restructuring their PC production operations. It has also earlier been pointed out that tablets were now becoming much more popular in most Swedish homes than PC and this report just came in to cement that thought.
