Low order for the Swedish industrial sector signs growing pain in the sector and the economy

New orders for Swedish industry decreased by 4.8 percent in seasonally adjusted figures in November compared to October.
When comparing November of this year and the same month of the previous year, new orders decreased by 8.4 percent in working day adjusted figures, reports statistic Sweden.

In most industry sub-sectors new orders decreased in November compared to October. The most negative development was seen in the motor vehicle industry, the electronics industry and the industry for other transport equipment. During the last three-month period (September-November) new orders in total decreased by 4.4 percent compared to the previous three-month period said statistic Sweden in a press statement assessing the performances of Swedish industries.

From the domestic market new orders decreased by 2.0 percent in November compared to October. During the last three-month period new orders decreased by 0.8 percent compared to the previous three-month period.

New orders from the export market decreased by 6.7 percent in November compared to October. During the last three-month period new orders decreased by 6.8 percent compared to the previous three-month period.

On an annual basis new orders in total continued to decrease. In November new orders decreased by 8.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The corresponding comparison in the domestic market results in a decrease of 4.0 percent and in the export market a decrease of 11.4 percent.
