The number of job advertisements in Swedish job sites rose in August by 19 percent compared with same month a year ago.
Monster Employment Index, which measures job postings online attest this variation.
The largest increase in job advertisements is reported to be in Western Sweden, and the least in northern Sweden.
As before, the technology industry emerged as that which most needed the most workers, with an annual increase of 47 percent. Unfortunately, the tourism, agriculture and the accounting related, where the number of job advertisements declined in a one year basis.’

Meanwhile, the debt crisis has not seemed to dampen employers from their hiring plans. At least, not according to employment agency, Manpower Employment in its employment Outlook Survey.

Before the last quarter, it forecast job growth to be the best in three years. It saw the greatest demand for labour to come from the construction industry, public sector and energy industry. However it expects employers in the retail sector to see reduction in employment.
