Average price for tenant-owned flats in sweden stood for Skr1.3 million

In 2010, approximately 97 000 tenant-owned flats were sold in Sweden for a total value of SEK 127 billion, an increase of slightly more than SEK 14 billion compared to 2009.

According to Statistic Sweden, the average purchase price for a tenant-owned flat in 2010 was SEK 1.3 million. The corresponding price in 2009 was SEK 1.2 million.

Nearly 80 percent or SEK 101 billion of the total turnover of SEK 127 billion comes from sales made in the three metropolitan areas (Greater Stockholm, Greater Gothenburg and Greater Malm´┐Ż). In Greater Stockholm alone tenant-owned flats were sold for SEK 76 billion in 2010.
