Large surplus in the Swedish government budget 2011

Tuesday, 31 January 2012
The surplus in the Swedish state budget for 2011 was Skr67.8 billion. It is Skr69.8 billion higher than 2010, which ended with a deficit.

The improvement is mainly due to higher tax revenues, income from shares sold and higher dividends on its shares, writes the Swedish Financial Management Authority.

The total expenditure amounted preliminarily to Skr804.3 billion and revenue to Skr872.1 billion.
The expenditure ceiling margin was Skr73.5 billion.
