Greenpeace activists arrested on oil rig in Greenland

Greenland Police have arrested the environmental activists from Greenpeace, who since last Sunday resided in an oil rig off western Greenland.

The arrest took place without drama as the Greenpeace activists came in voluntary and will be transferred to the capital Nuuk, where the latter must be decided whether any detention will b carried out according to Greenland Police

The aim of the environmental activists' is to protest and derail a Scottish company Cairn Energy's plans to find oil in the Arctic.
