Danish visas difficult to get hold of

Thursday, 05 January 2012
People from dozens of countries are now effectively excluded from Denmark. Agreements on visa cooperation with Finland, France and Germany have expired.

The problems affect citizens of countries like Libya, Qatar and Tunisia.
They should have been able to get Danish visas in other European Union embassies in their countries, but many of these agreements have now not been renewed due to "technical problems", writes Danish news paper Politiken.

Denmark is currently holding the EU Presidency, which leads to additional intensive international contacts.
