Three patients have recently had surgery at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg with a new treatment method for high blood pressure.

By heating using electromagnetic method, it burns the arteries which intern helps to block nerve signals to the so-called unconscious nerve that runs between the brain and kidneys. In these nerves there are those that have over-activity that contributes to high blood pressure.

The treatment can help patients who have high blood pressure despite medication. Some 100,000 Swedes may be assisted with the treatment ", said Dr Bert Andersson to Swedish television news program Rapport.
