ICA retailer had returns of 100 million in 2010 – 25 per cent less than previous year

The owners of the Sweden’s ten largest stores under the ICA banner, last year received Skr100 million in dividends. This was down 25 percent compared to 2009.

According to Swedish business daily Dagens Industri, all ten store affected are the ICA Maxi stores and highest rates of return being Skr -27.9 million  and this went to the family that owns Ica Maxi in Gothenburg. It had a turnover of Skr568.5 million in the food business.

The Gothenburg family owns a market share of 50 percent of Ica, the  country's largest and most profitable grocery chain.
