Warning from the Norwegian central bank governor

Norway's banks need more liquidity believes the Norwegian central bank governor Öystein Olsen.
“They are quite well equipped to meet capital requirements, but the Norwegian banks do not have sufficient liquidity buffers,” he said at a conference in Norefjell on Thursday.

He added that Norway's central bank, which in December cut its policy rate by 0.50 percentage points to 1.75 percent, monetary policy space to stimulate the economy if necessary.
