Volvo truck sees growth in supplies as persistent shaky markets still have the zeal to grow

Good momentum in the U.S. and European market means that the Volvo Group's truck is showing a hefty delivery lift.
Volvo Group’s total truck deliveries rose 35 percent in August to 15,557 vehicles, compared to the same period last year, according to delivery statistics from Volvo.

For the European market, there was increased deliveries by 52 percent to 4,166 vehicles, following a rise of 39 percent in Western Europe and an increase of 125 percent in Eastern Europe.
Deliveries in North America was also up 57 percent to 3,096 vehicles, while deliveries in South America rose by 73 percent to 2,964 vehicles. In Asia, deliveries rose by 6 percent to 4,067 vehicles.

Compared to July Volvo’s total shipments in August fell by 7.9 percent on the previous month which Volvo delivered 16,898 trucks.
In terms of the company's various brands, Volvo Trucks' total deliveries were up by 59 percent in August.
Deliveries from Mack in August totalled 1,365 vehicles, up 38 percent over the same period last year.

Renault Trucks' total deliveries increased by 38 percent while the corresponding figure for Eicher was an increase of 29 percent.

UD Trucks (formerly Nissan Diesel) deliveries declined by 12 percent.
All comparisons are to the same month the previous year unless otherwise indicated.
