TeliaSonera may be fined 144 million

TeliaSonera has been convicted in Stockholm district court and will be required to pay Skr144 million for abusing its dominant position in the market between April 2000 to January 2003.

According to the case the company has been found guilty of dumping the prices for broadband to residential customers such that the company could not cover its own costs. It has made it difficult for competitors to enter and expand in the broadband market and also made them for long periods to sell at a loss.

TeliaSonera is expected to appeal.
