Swedish government gives thumbs up to Saab real estate business

Gradually Saab automobile is seeing its fortune changing gradually, The Swedish government has finally confirms that the company’s real estate sales business should go ahead.

This came in after the Swedish debt office approved the business yesterday and of which the government promised that a quick decision will be attained on the Saab business.


Decisions will be taken at the Cabinet meeting later today. The sale means that a consortium led by Hemfosa Real Estate buys 50.1 percent stake in Saab Automobile Property AB for Skr255 million.

Speaking to reported in Visby where political parties are having the traditional Swedish holiday retreat at Almedalsveckan, as known here in Sweden, Maud Olofsson, minister of Industries said that the government has agreed to Saab's real estate business.
Earlier this week, the European Investment Bank followed by the Swedish Debt Office approved the deal.
This means now the condition for the sale of the Saab real estate business has now been cleared by the Swedish government, the Swedish Debt Office and the EIB.
