Swedish Debt Office wants to take over Saab spares parts subsidiary

The Swedish Debt Office will take control of Saab spare parts company, Saab Automobile Parts and remove the old board, according to reports in Swedish press. Instead, two people will be appointed to run the affairs of the company.

The Debt Office is holding the company as a pledge for the loan of Skr2.2 billion which it paid the European Investment Bank on Saab’s behave. That loan was paid back paid back last Friday.

If the administrators fail to sell Saab Automobile Parts, the Debt Office will own and run the company for some time, according to reports.
