Statoil sells stake in Gasslan for Nkr17 billion

Norwegian oil company, Statoil, sells 24.1 percent of its stake in gas company Gassled for more than Nkr17.3 billion or some Skr20 billion. Statoil will however continue to retain an ownership interest of five percent.

Gassled Joint Venture, is the arm of statoil which has been more in transporting gas from the Norwegian oil fields to the UK and continental Europe. Statoil said that the deal will further streamline its portfolio.
