Scania sees robust order intake as sales remain upbeat

Wednesday, 21 September 2011
Scania sees that demand for trucks remains stable as markets such as Brazil, Russia, India and China continue to drive growth.

Martin Lundstedt, sales manager of Scania, told Bloomberg News in an interview earlier.
Scania has not seen any slowdown in orders, despite an increase worries over economic activity in Europe.

In addition, the sales manager is upbeat that the company expects to achieve the goal of doubling sales in China to about 1,000 trucks this year and aims to reach about 5,000 vehicles per year for three to four years.

When the annual sales reach about 10,000 trucks in China, Scania will try to keep manufacturing in the country, according to reports.
