SAS maintains its earlier forecast of a marginally positive result before tax for the year 2011, but the conditions for achieving it has deteriorated, according to the interim report.

In October, SAS flew 2.6 million passengers, up 3.9 percent compared to October last year, according to the company's monthly statistics. The load factor, a measure of how well-filled airplanes are, fell at the same time by 0.5 percentage points to 75 percent compared to October last year, but was higher than in September.
