The Chinese are coming! Saab’s new Chinese pals to visit Trollhattan but questions emerge about their credibility

The new Chinese partners and financiers of Saab Automobile want urgently to see what they have put their money into.
Already on Thursday, part of the company, Hawta will be visiting Trollhattan, the seat of Saab  and to look at the factory and meet Saab Employees,  and weigh the Saab experience report regional daily, TTELA.

It will probably be at least a week before production can be started. But before the Chinese visit there are some planned series of tests in which between 15 and 20 cars will be built, the newspaper said.


Meanwhile, questions have started emerging about the new Saab’s partner Hawtai.
There is the perception that Saab’s future partner, Chinese Hawtai, may have exaggerated the figure of 81 000 cars produced last year, writes the Swedish Embassy in Beijing in a report.

Foreign Ministry received the report on Wednesday, writes Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet (SvD).
Swedish Ambassador Lars Fred�n is markedly sceptical about the credibility of Hawtai, writes SvD.
The embassy feels that its official figures might also have been exaggerated, writes Fred�n of the announced 81 000 cars produced last year.

According to the newspaper's sources in Beijing, it is rather that about 60,000 cars produced 2010
