Pang Da’s boss, Pang Qinghua visited the Saab automobile factory, together with Victor Muller on Friday as we reported yesterday and watched the cars rolled pass by on the production line. Both had a pin with the Swedish and Chinese flag on their business suits.

"This is the first time I am in Sweden and the Saab factory. I'm very happy, "said Pang Qinghua at the press conference held at the launch centre with a clear view of the assembly line.

Before the factory visit Pang Qinghua had the chance of driving both a new Saab X 9-4 and 9-5. "So far I am very impressed," he said.

If all plans go off without a hitch and the approval needed for Pang Da and Saab to work together in China goes through, and then the succeed to get a Chinese car manufacturers to work with, then Saab cars would start being produced in China, according to the thoughts of  Pang Qinghua. “Saab can reach very far in China,” the Pang Da boss believes.

"Then, there will be real 100,000, 200,000, 300,000 cars not just a dream, "he said.
"Saab is no newcomer to China,” said Pang Qinghua. The Chinese customers already hold Saab at high esteem for high technology, safety and environmental friendliness.

A few details about how the negotiations with the Chinese authorities are going for them to get the get the necessary permission, was something he could not go into, but contented himself by saying:
"The Chinese government is very supportive towards Chinese companies wishing to invest abroad.”
Pang Qinghua declined to answer questions both during the press conference and in the factory. Instead, he hurried off to a meeting.
