Thursday, 10 November 2011
Forest Group SCA acquires Georgia-Pacific's tissue business in Europe. The price tag amounts to Skr12.6 billion, according to a press release from the SCA.

With fully implemented synergies SCA expects that earnings per share could rise by Skr1.70.
The acquired business had sales last year of Skr11.9 billion with some 5000 employees and 15 factories in seven countries.

"This transaction fits our strategy very well and will strengthen our product offering and our geographic presence in Europe. In addition, the transaction generates significant synergies, "said Jan Johansson, CEO of SCA in a statement.

To finance the deal, SCA has received long-term committed financing facilities.
