The market is speculating that Samsung is planning to make a bid for the ailing Nokia.
Speculation is so strong that Samsung on Wednesday issued a press release in which the company declined to comment on the issues. Neither Nokia want to comment on the rumour, Dow Jones Newswires reported.

Last week featured reports that Microsoft was going to buy Nokia for $19 billion. At the time, Nokia called the claim groundless.

It is not clear if such rumours are good or bad for Nokia as its shares again fell and is approaching lowest for the year. By late morning its shares had fallen by about 2.9 percent in Helsinki which now stands are around €4.35 per share.

After Nokia came out with his performance warning last week, its share price dropped to €4.27. During this year, Nokia's value has dropped by 45 percent.
