Plastal, a subcontractor to Saab, is laying off 50 people blamed on lack of information about when the Saab production will start again.

According to a press release from the company, the company cannot engage it workers for doing nothing since they have no long term arrangement with Saab on products.

"To ensure the future of our plant in Simrishamn, we see ourselves now forced to take action in the form of placing a notice for the reduction of 50 persons," the company said. The notice affects both temporal and full time workers.
