Cairn Energy which has been disrupted recently on almost a regular basis by Green peace activist in Greenland, has taken legal action in the Netherlands against them claiming damages of up to two million pounds a day if Greenpeace activists again disrupt  the company's drilling for oil in the Arctic.

The action was taken after the Greenland Police on Thursday arrested two activists during a four-day protest which prevented oil drilling at the rig Leiv Eiriksson off West Greenland.
