Norway is expected to raise interest rates

Norwegian central bank raises interest rates next week by 0.25 percentage points to 2.50 percent.
This is the view of nine out of ten surveyed analysts according to a consensus poll carried out by Reuters.


A majority of them expect the policy rate to be raise to 2.75 percent at year end. In May, Norway raised the interest rate to 2.25 percent as it stands today, from the earlier 2.0 percent. It was the first time in a year that the central bank raised the interest rate.
