Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia is changing its service branding from Ovi to Nokia. Called the “Ovi Store” up to now, the applications store will continue business as usual, just with the new name “Nokia Store”.
According to the company, the main reason for the name-change is to strengthen the Nokia master brand.

The transition from Ovi services to Nokia services, likely to begin in July this year, should be completed by the end of 2012, as announced on the company’s official blog on Monday.
Nokia emphasises that the contents and services offered by its applications store will not be affected in any way by the name-change.
