Wednesday, 23 November 2011
Sales of Nokia's new Lumia phones are better than what analysis had expected in recent days. It writes the Nokia spokesperson Doug Dawson in an e-mail, according to Bloomberg news network.

"Based on early data, the first week's saw sales of Lumia 800 the best ever for a Nokia’s smartphone in the UK compared to recent years. According to our measurements, we have taken significant market share in terms of selling – in and the after sales work in the UK ", commented Doug Dawson.

On Tuesday Nokia's shares backed on information from the analysis houses Jefferies and Pacific Crest that the sale of the company's new Lumia phones, the first from Nokia based on the Microsoft operating system, Windows, had mixed development and led to questions about if the volumes for the quarter would reach expectations.

On Wednesday, Deutsche Bank said based on their controls in the market, there is indication that Nokia will be able to reach the bank's estimate of a sales volume of 2 million Lumia phones in the fourth quarter.
