Lundin Petroleum to multiply oil output

Lundin Petroleum will double its output of oil production over the next four years and probably see a doubling again when Johan Sverdrupfältet starts producing.

At Thursday's press briefing to the at the company’s Capital day, Lundin’s CEO Ashley Heppenstall said that the Sverdrup field could triple production.

Ashley Heppenstall believes that oil prices are very difficult to assess in the short term. The company's main thesis is that, the outlook for oil prices is strong in the medium and long term.
"This we base on supply and demand. The reality is that the industry does not find as much oil as required. Oil prices will remain high and may surprise are on the upside, "said Heppenstall at a press conference before the event.
