The Professional Network site LinkedIn is expanding in Europe and is establishing an office in Stockholm.
LinkedIn has 100 million members worldwide. Stockholm office will support the two million members located in the Nordic countries and develop the growing customer base.
Former European office located in London, Dublin, Amsterdam and Paris. Paris office opened in March this year.
“Nearly 25 million users across Europe are establishing their professional identities, build their network and take advantage of LinkedIn's potential. By becoming more present in the growing markets, we can at the local level provide better support to existing and future members. The Nordic countries stand out by being one of the markets in the world with a maximum presence on the internet and the growing professional networking as a natural consequence, "said Ariel Eckstein, CEO of LinkedIn in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Several major Swedish employers Scania, Electrolux and many use LinkedIn for recruiting new employees.
