Impressive production performance for Volvo trucks and its collaborators

Volvo Trucks' deliveries increased by 74 percent to 10,228 vehicles in May compared to the same month last year. The increase included all major markets.
In Europe, Volvo Trucks' deliveries were up by 92 percent. In South America the increase was 53 percent and in North America, deliveries by 117 percent.

Deliveries from Mack trucks were 1690 trucks in May, an increase of 137 percent over the same month last year.
Renault Trucks has delivered 5,601 trucks in May, an increase of 58 percent. Deliveries in Europe grew by 70 percent due to increased demand in Germany and Poland. Deliveries in Asia grew by 158 percent. Deliveries to other markets declined by 28 percent, due to decreased sales in North Africa.


Deliveries from UD Trucks (Japan) amounted to 1315 trucks in May, down 44 percent. In Asia, deliveries fell by 60 percent. In Japan, deliveries due to the production of light trucks to Nissan Motor were completed in January 2011. Production of trucks was also reduced due to disturbances in the sub-system as a result of the earthquake disaster.

Deliveries from Eicher amounted in May to a total of 1424 trucks, an increase of 33 percent over the same period last year.
