Hygienist, SCA invests in Brazilian diaper

Hygiene Company, SCA is to acquire the Brazilian health company Pro Descartes for the equivalent of Skr 450 million on a debt free basis the group said in a statement.

Family Owned Pro Descartes is focused on incontinence products but also with sales of baby diapers and wipes.
The company, with approximately 400 employees, has manufacturing facilities in Sao Paulo area and annual sales of Skr360 million.


Meanwhile, SCA, in a separate press release said that the group is investing over Skr800 million on a new tissue machine in the U.S. and a reconstruction of a paper machine in Ortviken in Sundsvall.
