Military hardware manufacturer, Hagglunds wins one billion orders from the Swedish defence

Swedish defence buys new tracked vehicles from military hard ware producer Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik.

The order is worth Skr1.8 billion in options and seen as revenge in the battle with competitor Finnish Patria, writes Swedish business daily, Dagens Industri.
"I can safely say that this is a good deal for us, "said Jan Soderstrom, managing director of BAE Systems Hagglund, to the paper.

Sweden according to the order is the fourth country to buy tracked vehicles of the model BvS10, a splinter and mine protection vehicles.

The deal is the first large orders Hagglunds received from the Armed Forces since 2009, when the authority decided against Hagglunds for the benefit of Finnish competitor Patria, which aroused bad blood with Hagglunds and led to a debate on how the Swedish war material to be purchased.
