H & M grows in Japan

Hennes & Mauritz is planning to more than double the number of stores in Japan over the next year. At the end of 2012, the company has 30 stores in the country, compared to the current 12.


It says Mie Anton, who is spokeswoman for Hennes & Mauritz in Japan, told Reuters, and quoted by Swedish business daily, Dagens Industri.
"Japan is definitely an important market and we still see potential for growth here. Japanese customers are very fashion conscious so it's high consumption here, "she says.
