Swedish newspapers can continue publishing advertisements for foreign gambling companies.
Svea Court of Appeal on Wednesday tore up the district court's conviction of the newspapers Expressen and Aftonbladet's former editors in chief Otto Sjberg and Anders Gerdin.

The court found that it was not illegal for former chief editor of Expressen, Otto Sjberg and Aftonbladet,  Anders Gerdin to publish advertisements for foreign gambling companies, the Svea Court of Appeal decided in a ruling today.

“This is about opportunity for newspaper companies to bring in ads directed at their primary readership. It's very difficult for an editor to continuously have to confront vague laws in decisions if one is to enter an ad or not,” says Anna Serner who is president of Newspaper Publishers.
