European Unions worker organisations attack Ikea on worker’s rights

The European trade unions demand that Swedish furniture giant, Ikea guarantees trade union rights for all employees. In a statement adopted at a congress in Madrid on Friday, the Unions want to allow all the Ikea employees in all countries to join unions and bargain collectively.


At the same time a demonstration was held outside Ikea’s store in Madrid, where Spanish Ikea employees demanded the same treatment as the Swedish, according to news reports in Sweden.
