Ericsson’s reported looses did not create any uproar in the market on Thursday

Swedish telecom giant Ericsson just reported looses but the market did not make any fuss about it. Instead the company’s shares rose by 1.4 percent during the initial trade in spite of reported losses in billions in the last quarter

Then however, it was part Sony part Ericsson.
On the whole, the Stockholm Stock Exchange was up in early trading, by 9:40am the OMXS index was trading up 0.3 percent to 322.9.


In October, Ericsson announced that the proportion of mobile phone maker in the joint venture Sony Ericsson will be sold for Skr 9 billion. But the sale has not yet been formally completed.

Other market players, AstraZeneca fell by 1.1 percent since the pharmaceutical company announced that the FDA wants more information about an antidiabetic agent.

Internet market players, Avanza reported this morning a winning result for the fourth quarter and raise its dividend to shareholders. The company’s shares were quite stable during the initial trade.
Orc Software Company Group lost 0.3 percent to Skr86 after declaring a resounding loss.

This morning's losers among the big companies were Sony Ericsson rival Nokia, which fell by 2.2 percent. Winners were white goods manufacturer Electrolux, which rose by 2.7 percent.
