DSBFirst can continue operating in Sweden

The Swedish Transport Management has let DSBFirst to keep its license to run trains on the Swedish part �resund services, writes the Danisy newspaper Politiken.

It is the first time that the Transportation Authority in Sweden has evaluated whether a railway company has enough money to ensure continuous operation.


�rjan Ellstrom, chief of the Railway Section in Sweden's transportation agency, is hopeful, despite DSBFirst bad financial stance. Following the situation closely “there is a sensible plan, and we have presented documents that provide good opportunities for the company to survive its financial difficulties,” he said.

This provides an interim solution for the 30,000 Danish and Swedish passengers who daily across the bridge to both directions.
But DSBFirst are still struggling for survival, so �rjan Ellstrom adds that it will monitor developments closely.
