Banks hit with Credit rating down grades
Wednesday, 30 November 2011
Credit rating agency Standard and Poor's on Tuesday lowered the credit rating for 15 large banks, mainly in Europe and USA.

The reduction was a result of the review of the grading criteria which S & P completed for 37 of the world's major banks.
Among those who received lower ratings are JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Scotland and HSBC.

Twenty banks were allowed to keep their grades, among them the only Swedish bank in the review, Nordea. Two banks had raised the ratings.
