Arla Foods has decided to cut the price of milk it pays to farmers by Skr15.5 Swedish per litre as of September 5, writes dairy giant said in a statement.

Arla Foods' confided a number of reasons for the action including that globally; there has been an increase in the production of raw milk as such pressing down prices.
There is also prices drop in the industrial market for milk powder which also presses Arla’s earnings. Arla also suffers from currency effect from the Danish side as there is growing pressure on strong Danish kroner over a weakened dollar.
