Alfa Laval reports ‘growth profit’

Industrial group Alfa Laval made a profit before tax of Skr1.175 million for the second quarter.
The market analysts had on average expected a profit of Sk1.219 million, according to Reuters consensus.
During the same period last year the company made a profit of Skr1.147 billion.


Turnover amounted to Skr7.033 million, compared with Skr6.359 million a year earlier. Order intake rose to Skr7.424 million from Skr6.267 million.
"Demand continued to develop positively in the second quarter. All business segments and regions reported growth, "writes CEO Lars Renstr�m in the interim report.
Alfa Laval expects that demand in the third quarter of 2011 will be higher than in the corresponding period last year.
